Derelict Crossing
Play as one of six differently aliens as you try to escape the derelict.
Play with the mouse, and you can use Y and N to continue forward as well as X and C to attack or dodge.
Instructions:
- The goal of the game is currently to survive 10 encounters.
- If you have a weapon, attack by either clicking the weapon with the mouse or pressing X.
- Once the enemy prepares to attack, you can dodge it by pressing C or the dodge button. The dodge only lasts for a short while so it needs to be timed well.
- Each alien has different effects on the game. For example, the alien EtAl can use two weapons instead of dodging.
- You loose if your life support or health runs out. One day passes by for each encounter and each time you stay in place.
- Most weapons and materials either expires as days passes, while some weapons expires by using them.
- The weapon stats are as follows: D:damage, A:accuracy, S:Reload speed, C: crit. rate. When you craft a weapon, it's stats are affected by the schematic, the played alien, and the used materials.
- Staying in place gives you more materials, let's you craft weapons, and improves your health.
Made in Unity, Pyxel Edit, SFXR, and Bosca Ceoil by me.
ToDo if I had more time:
- Add a bossfight instead of just an anti-clima tickets ending, and there is a bug with the escaping once you reach the end.
- Finetune and add flashy effects. Better portraits.
- Add environmental backgrounds.
- More loot and more encounters.
- A lot of balancing.

I thought this idea was really cool - I felt the the fact that crafting was very intuitive due to the "outlines". The art for the items was really detailed and impressive. One issue I ran into was having no weapon (because it had expired) and then having to wait for an enemy to slowly defeat me - maybe either having a weak permanent way of attacking or having a quick way of restarting when you know you've lost would be useful? Also, it seemed my first gun would often run out before I could craft anything else due to RNG.
Thanks! Yeah, the balance is off. It would be smart to add some failsaves so that you could craft something around the second or third encounter.
